It’s happens to all of us. We spend money on food and inevitably some of it goes bad. And then these leftovers start to give off a less than pleasant odor that seems to take over the refrigerator. Luckily, the good folks over at LEAF have come up with 3 natural ways to keep your fridge fresh.
I’ve come across some great stainless steel cleaning tips and an AMAZING magic mixture for cleaning sterling silver jewelry but these deodorizing tricks for keeping the fridge fresh are by far one of my favorites. They are so quick and easy and it just had to be shared. Watch how quick and easy these 3 all-natural quick fixes are to put together. They’ll deodorize your fridge and have things smelling fresh and clean again in no time!
Here are the three ways to get those bad smells out of your fridge:
1. Alka Seltzer Tablet: Drop 1 tab of Alka Seltzer in a cup of water and place it in the back of your fridge. The mixture will absorb all the odors in the fridge within one day.
2. Vanilla Extract: Soak 2-3 cotton balls in 1 tbsp of vanilla extract then place it in the back of your fridge. It acts as a deodorizer & smells great.
3. Citrus Peels & Salt: Cut a large orange in half and remove the pulp. Then, add 2 tbsp of sea salt into the empty half and set it in the back of the fridge. The orange deodorizes providing a fresh, citrus smell and the salt helps absorb any bad odor.
These tips are quick and easy and will have your fridge smelling as fresh and new in no time.
