This is the BEST marinade EVER – super easy and packed with flavor!
It might be cold outside, but that never stops us from using the grill. After learning a few helpful grilling tips, my fear of the flame fizzled, and this recipe has become my go-to marinade for chicken and beef {think flank steak…unbelievable!}. It’s truly the best marinade ever.
I love it because it tastes AMAZING and even better, the recipe uses staple ingredients that I always have on hand.
Be sure to let things marinate for at least 4-6 hours or best overnight. This gives it time for the flavors to meld.
This recipe makes a lot of marinade, so I only use half, and then freeze the rest. Easy peazy!
It’s honesty the best marinade ever! You’ve got to give it a try.
- 1½ cups vegetable oil
- ¾ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup red wine vinegar
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 2 Tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- In a medium bowl, wick the first 5 ingredients. Add in dry mustard, salt, pepper and parsley. Stir until dry mustard is completely incorporated.
- Use marinade with chicken or beef. Marinate for at least 4 hours. Over night is best giving the most flavor punch. Enjoy!

I shared this other great time saver you might enjoy…put your left over marinade in a freezer bag along with your chicken and freeze. The chicken will marinate as it thaws in the fridge. Win-Win!

Marinating meat is really a must-do for cooking and grilling. It adds so much flavor to the meat. Thanks for your marinade recipe. I’m pinning it to try.
Khrista says
You’re right! And marinating can really help tenderize those less expensive traditionally tougher cuts of beef. Hope you enjoy!

I love a good marinade especially on BBQ because it really heightens the overall flavor of the meat. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can start grilling again.

We use this marinade so many ways. Here’s another tip. Put the left over marinade in a freezer bag along with your chicken and freeze. Then take the frozen bag out of the freezer the night before and place it in the fridge. The chicken will marinate while it thaws. Great time saver!
