Serves: 10-12 servings

Ingredients
  • ¾ Cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 Cup water - for the simple syrup
  • 1 Cup lemon juice (3-4 large lemons)
  • 2-3 Cups cold water
  • 2 Cups wild berry herbal tea - see notes (prepared according to box directions)
  • 1.5 Cups spiced rum
Instructions
  1. To make the "simple syrup", place the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  2. Juice lemons to yield 1 cup of lemon juice (approx. 3-4 large lemons)
  3. Combine the lemon juice and simple syrup into a pitcher and stir.
  4. Add 2 cups of cold water, 2 cups of herbal tea and 1 cup of spiced rum. Stir and taste. Add remaining spiced rum for an extra kick. Keep in mind you'll be serving over ice which will naturally dilute your drink.
  5. Refrigerate 30 to 45 minutes before serving.
Notes
* I used Celestial Seasoning Wild Berry Zing tea available at your local grocery store.
