Here’s an Easy Egg Carton Crown Craft that is fun to make and a craft your kids are going to LOVE!

We keep a huge container full of recyclables in the garage that comes in very handy during craft time.  Today, we turned a some egg carton cups into this adorable, fun crown headband but also checkout how we turned an egg carton into an adorable Little Chicks Egg Carton Craft!

This adorable Egg Carton Crown Craft is just as fun to make and the best part is I’ll bet you already have the materials at home right now.

Egg Carton Crown Craft – Materials:

• Egg Cartons
• Paint
• Paint Brushes
• Headband (I purchased a 5 pack at the Dollar Store)
• Beads
• Hot Glue Gun

I made this handy little reference for you to help breakdown the different parts of the egg carton that I use in different egg carton crafts.  We’ll just be using the cups  section for today’s egg carton crown craft.

Instructions:
Step 1: Cut out three cups from the egg carton.

Step 2: Trim the tall wings on the egg carton cups so that all sides are even.

Step 3: Paint each cup pink (or color of your choosing), inside and out.  Let cups dry.

Step 4: Using the glue gun, apply a tiny dab of glue to the front point of one egg cup and stick a bead on to the glue.  Repeat to remaining points on the cup.  Let dry.

Repeat process and attach glue and bead to remaining 2 cups.

Step 5: Apply a generous dab of glue to the center of the bottom of each cup.  Press one egg cup to the top center of the headband.  Let dry.  Repeat to add the other two cups on either side of the center cup.

Ta-da!  One adorable crown perfect for any little princess!

I love this craft because it’s so easy to make, uses materials found a home AND you can really mix things up…make a crown for a king, queen or princess.  Make a fancy egg carton crown with cups glued over the whole headband.  The possibilities are unlimited!
